When video games first started out they were meant to entertain people, but now a days there just meant to swindle people out of their money. Granted maybe video games were always meant to rob people of their money, but even more so today. Due to the limited technology in the past the developers had to come up with something of incredible quality to really entice the customer to buy their product, the only thing they had to worry about was that it was fun, graphics were virtually nonexistent at the time, as was the internet, making them both irrelevant to the process of making a video game. While with all the technology of the present, developers have so much more to worry about now, that they cant focus on what truly makes a game fun. Now their forced to push a game out to the market just because of how it looks, and completely ignore its over all quality. So now a game comes out with great graphics but nothing else, every body buys it and then is later disappointed by its lack of fun. A perfect example of such a game is "Mind Jack". They come out with a trailer showing the graphics of the game and the concept behind it, so it sounds like a decent game.

Mind Jack Review
But its not, it has good graphics, and a good trailer, but nothing else. This game was only allowed to happen because of the corporate hands meddling with something they know nothing about. and now corporate has a tighter grip on the gaming industry than ever. So to me the original 8-Bit gaming systems had a higher quality of game play than what we have today, i blame the major companies who just don't care about video games or their quality. Am i wrong in thinking this way? If you think so then please, convince me that I am. If you agree with what I'm saying that please let me know.
